Each April, as azaleas bloom and the fairways of Augusta National come alive, the Masters Golf Tournament offers more than just a showcase of world-class talent—it offers a masterclass in composure, preparation, and integrity. For those of us who once wore the badge of our professional services firm, it also offers a moment of reflection.

We came from a firm that prided itself on hiring the best and brightest. Not because of pedigree or polish alone, but because of potential—of people who could think clearly under pressure, serve clients without compromise, and walk the fairways of business with quiet confidence. Our mantra, Think Straight. Talk Straight., wasn't just a slogan—it was a standard. Much like the Masters, it set the bar for how we were expected to perform and carry ourselves.

There’s something about the Masters that reminds us of who we were—and still are. Every swing under pressure echoes the choices we made in high-stakes meetings. Every disciplined round mirrors the relentless preparation we brought to client engagements. Every handshake beneath the Georgia pines reminds us that trust—earned and kept—is the real currency in business and in life.

The Masters is also a tournament steeped in tradition, yet never stagnant. The course evolves. The players get younger. But the values endure. In that, we see a reflection of our alumni network—a group that may span generations but is still rooted in shared principles. Whether we’re leading companies, mentoring others, or simply striving to do our best work each day, we carry forward a legacy defined by clarity, courage, and character.

This year, that legacy found a mirror in Rory McIlroy—whose long-awaited victory at Augusta completes a career Grand Slam and serves as a powerful reminder that persistence, professionalism, and quiet determination still matter. Congratulations to Rory on a win that transcends golf and speaks to every professional who’s stayed the course, refined their craft, and ultimately delivered.

We were part of something rare. And like the green jacket, that legacy never goes out of style.
