A Career Coming Full Circle
By Brad Mendel, Andersen Alumnus
In 1998, Brad joined High Plains Technology, a small local technology firm, as their 1st non-partner sales rep. With a vision to provide fully integrated, hands-on technology solutions, he and his 2 soon-to-be partners started buying out the former owners and re-built the company from the ground up. High Plains Technology quickly gained a reputation for its client-centric approach, always putting "Clients First." His dedication to straightforward, honest communication mirrored Andersen’s "Think Straight, Talk Straight" mantra, earning him the trust and respect of his clients and colleagues.
Under Brad's leadership and his team’s dedication to the same common goal, High Plains Technology received numerous accolades, including recognition for delivering high-quality service to clients for over 30 years. The company's commitment to innovation and excellence became a benchmark in the technology solutions industry.
In a twist of fate, Brad’s career came full circle when High Plains Technology merged with Eide Bailly LLP, a public accounting firm, in January 2024. This merger marked a return to the public accounting sector, reminiscent of his early days at Arthur Andersen. Reflecting on this journey, Brad emphasized the shared values and professionalism that made the partnership with Eide Bailly a natural fit. This union not only signified a new chapter for High Plains Technology but also brought Brad back to the industry that shaped his foundational values.
